First pictures from The Hobbit have been released.

With the release of these images we finally get a first look at Martin Freeman as Bilbo, and he's looking good in the role. There's also a picture of Sir Ian McKellen as Gandalf, which should bring back fond memories of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released on December 14th, 2012, with The Hobbit: There and Back Again hitting theaters on December 13th, 2013.

New Captain America Trailer and Poster

A new trailer featuring a bit more action, and a little less skinny Chris Evans hit the web recently. This one seems to show a little more of what happens after Steve Rogers becomes Captain America. Also a closer look at Hugo Weaving.
The film opens in 3D on July 22, 2011.

The Hobbit is still adding cast members.

Joining Martin Freeman as Bilbo is now Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel, a Woodland Elf. Barry Humphries will be portraying the Goblin King in much the same way as Andy serkis portrayed Gollum. Benedict Cumberbatch, who recentfly shared the screen with Freeman in BBC series Sherlock, also joins the cast as the voice of Smaug, the dragon briefly mentioned in Fellowship of the Ring.

Yikes! I can finally get back to some postings! We’ve finished our first block of shooting and moved straight into location scouting. More on that soon… But today, I’m thrilled to announce two new cast members who will be joining us for our second block of shooting.
Evangeline Lilly will be playing a new character—the Woodland Elf, Tauriel. Her name means ‘daughter of Mirkwood’ and, beyond that, we must leave you guessing! (No, there is no romantic connection to Legolas.) What is not a secret is how talented and compelling an actress Evangeline is; we are thrilled and excited she will be the one to bring our first true Sylvan Elf to life.
I’m also highly excited that Barry Humphries will be portraying the Goblin King, in much the way Andy Serkis created Gollum. Barry is perhaps best known for his business and social connections as the long-time manager of Dame Edna Everage. He has also been an ardent supporter of the rather misunderstood and unfairly maligned Australian politician, Sir Les Patterson. However, in his spare time, Barry is also a fine actor, and we’re looking forward to seeing him invest the Goblin King with the delicate sensitivity and emotional depth this character deserves.
Evangeline and Barry, along with Welsh actor Luke Evans as Bard and Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug, just about rounds out the major casting. I cannot wait to get stuck into these new scenes!

Footage of Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones

Any true fan of Indiana Jones should know that Tom Selleck, of Magnum P.I. fame, was the original choice to play Indiana Jones before Harrison Ford scored the part. Turns out that Selleck actually did a screen test for the role. In the video below you can see a small portion of the screen test, Seleck in joined by Sean Young, who was testing for the role of Marion Ravenwood.
In the end Magnum P.I.'s producers refused to let Selleck star in Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the role went to Harrison Ford.

William Shatner will be stopping by 'Psych'

William Shatner's $#*! My Dad Says got axed after just one season, but he won't be idle for long. Shatner will have a guest role on Psych's upcoming season. He will be playing the estranged father of Detective Juliet O’Hara (Maggie Lawson).
The character is described as “a charming con man who wants to mend his broken relationship with his daughter. But when the opportunity to pull off a dream con is presented to him, his decision to stay on the right side of the law becomes more complicated.”

Never mock the accent

James McAvoy sits doen for an intervies with Josh Horowitz for MTV After Hours. It doesn't turn out quite well.

What's in store for Warehouse 13?

If you're one of the people hoping that Joanne Kelly's departure from the show is permanent the teaser for the first episode of season 3 bodes well. Peter is paired together with a new partner Steve Jinks, portrayed by Aaron Ashmore (Smallville, Fringe), as “a young ATF agent who can detect when someone’s lying”.

It also looks like H.G. Wells will be getting her own spin-off series. The character, who made her entrance in season 2, has proved popular and SyFy are planning a show around her early days.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jack Kenny is prepping the series for Syfy based on the following concept:

While it is still in the early stages and thus subject to change, the idea is to put Wells in a 1890s steampunk environment. Despite Warehouse 12's efforts to recruit her, she would remain a free agent who uses her knowledge of contemporary science to solve murders and other mysteries.

In this incarnation, she would enlist the help of a mechanical engineer and utilize her relationship with the police commissioner to solve what appear to be unsolvable cases. Both the skills and style she employs will become the framework for the well-known stories of H.G. Wells, as written by her brother.
