It had an ok premise, and it's worth watching just because of all the cameos, but it falls apart pretty quickly.
It’s very predictable, and the dialogue is cheesy as hell. Easily ranks among the lowest in the Vampire-movie-genre. How the hell they managed to get Christopher Plummer to play a part in this film is beyond me.

Drive
I have only watched the first two episodes, and I really liked it. When I learned it had been cancelled after only four episodes I was extremely disappointed, and even more pissed at FOX than I’ve been before. Damn bastards wouldn’t know a good show if it bit 'em in the persqueeter!
A review I agree with:
Drive had the potential to be a top rated television show. It was not given the time to develop an audience. The writing was superb and the cast performances were simply outstanding. If given more than three weeks to garner fan support, Drive could have proved itself to be the next 24 or House. Television executives are too quick to cancel a show after only a few episodes. Television programs need time to develop a fan base which is often generated by word of mouth buzz.
I can only hope that Drive will find a new home on a network that is willing to give the show the opportunity to prove what it is made of. As a fan I found it frustrating to invest in a show only to have the plug pulled prematurely.
I still haven’t seen episodes 3 and 4 that are on my hard-drive, because I can’t bring myself to invest more time in it knowing there won’t be anymore.
Sure the show was over the top, and I already want some of the characters to crash their cars and die, but the characters I like did so much for the show, and Nathan Fillion’s character kicked ass, I really wanted to see more of this.
I guess I can only hope that some other Network picks it up and gives it a chance.

Slither
AKA, the movie where I had the whole theatre to myself.

I liked this movie, I felt like I was taken back to the 80s and 90s with regards to the storyline and some of the effects, but I have to say that is partly why I enjoyed it so much. It was funny and gross and scary and such a good time. It managed to be all those things at once and hit all the right notes.
Now, it's not one of the best films ever, I think it took a little too long to really get started, but the buildup was good and totally worth it. I also have to admit that it was really fun to see Nathan Fillion on the big screen again, and I'm sure his character Bill really would've loved some help from River (Serenity/Firefly) in ass kicking mode.
This film is fun, plain and simple. It gets in, delivers its scares and its laughs, and gets out quick. As what it was meant to be, it was absolutely brilliant. It does its own thing, and it does it perfectly, and the result is pure entertainment.
There were a few things that suprised me, but in a good way. There are 2-3 things that always seems to happen in movies like this, especially with the kind of introductions we are given to the characters, and how the storylines unfolds, but none of them happened here, and it pleased me to no end. To some extent in the middle of all the crazyness they kept a little element of realism, or at least thinking how those things would most likely develop. So a big plus to James Gunn on that one!
You all should definetly go check it out! It's innocent fun, and yes you will be scared, grossed out and have a good laugh while watching it.

Serenity
The movie was extremely intense. I was exhausted afterwards. Still feel like I haven’t been able to process everything that happened. There’s just so much happening in this film that it takes a while to sort through it all.
The movie clocks in at about two hours, but it didn’t feel that long at all. In all honesty I felt it was too short, I wanted more. To me some pieces felt a bit fragmented, but I think that might be because the scene before was just sinking in before the next one began. It’s a roller coaster of a film, and I was on the edge of my seat most of the time, had I been alone I would have been talking to the screen, cheering and screaming.
There were however some things that bugged me. This is glossier than the show ever was. While ‘Firefly’ had kind of a brownish tint, the film is more metallic and blue. It’s a little thing, but it also makes kind of a weird transition. It maybe didn’t help that I just finished my ‘Firefly’ marathon a few hours before I saw the movie. So If anybody else is planning to watch the show first, do it the week before you see the film, to get a little distance between the two.
In short, I really loved the movie, but can understand the people that don’t like it. There’s a moment towards the end that caught me completely off guard, and it took me a long while to get over it. However that might be something that non-browncoats won’t react to, and other browncoats saw coming
I loved the cast of this movie, Joss Whedon knows what he’s doing when he chooses his casts, they all work really well together, and I just adore every single member of the Serenity crew.
